About Titan Works

How the shop came to be

Titan Works started as a small polyurethane operation casting suspension components for the automotive aftermarket. During the pandemic, Alex Van Drie was working for an aerospace diagnostics company, traveling to jet engine test cells around the world. When that travel stopped, a friend who owned the shop asked for help. Alex came in, learned the process, and over the next few years took the business over when the founder moved on to ministry work.

The shop is still small by choice. That is the point. The large urethane houses chase programs worth tens of millions of dollars and have been dropping the small and mid-size parts that do not fit that model. Titan Works exists to pick those parts up and make them well.

What we believe about making parts

Say what you will do, then do it. Alex served in the US Army. Delivery dates and quality commitments are treated the same way orders were.

Keep the supply chain close. Our polyurethane systems are sourced in the United States, and we are working to bring the last of our supply into Michigan. Lead times should depend on our schedule, not a port.

Quality is a system, not a mood. Titan Works is certified to ISO 9001:2015. Procedures are documented, materials are traceable, and inspection results ship with the parts.

The owner answers. There is no sales layer between you and the person responsible for your parts.

Where we work

Titan Works is at 4500 Empire Way, Suite 11, in Lansing, Michigan, about ninety minutes from Detroit and Grand Rapids. The shop runs a made-to-order two-part dispensing machine built by a Michigan engineering firm, heated mold stations, cure ovens, and inspection equipment for dimensional and durometer checks.
