Where cast urethane shows up in a plant

Anywhere metal meets metal and should not, anywhere something slides and wears, and anywhere vibration needs to stop. Cast polyurethane elastomer outlasts rubber on abrasion by a wide margin, shrugs off cutting fluids and oil, and holds up under sustained load without creeping.

Applications

  • CNC fixture and tombstone pads. Pads that protect the machine table and damp chatter under fixtures and pallets. Coolant-resistant, replaceable, and cast with locating features.
  • Machine feet and isolation pads. Tuned hardness for the load and frequency of the equipment.
  • Wear strips and slide pads. For conveyors, guides, and material handling.
  • Rollers and wheels. Urethane treads bonded to metal hubs for traction without marking.
  • Bumpers, stops, and grommets. Protection for doors, guards, and fixtures.
  • Scraper blades and seals. Shapes that are hard to find off the shelf.

Small quantities are welcome

Industrial parts are often low quantity: a set of pads for one cell, a dozen rollers a year. That is a comfortable order for Titan Works and an unwelcome one at a large caster. Prototype tooling keeps the cost of a one-off reasonable.

Common questions

Can you cast urethane onto our metal parts?
Yes. We bond urethane to steel and aluminum inserts during the pour: rollers over hubs, pads on plates, sleeves over shafts. Inserts are prepared and primed for adhesion.
Do you make sheet material?
We can cast sheets and cut simple pads from them for low-complexity applications. For anything with features, a mold is usually cheaper per part over the life of the program.

  • Shock and vibration pads

    Isolation pads, mount isolators, and machine feet that damp vibration and protect what sits on them.

  • Custom cast parts

    Anything else that should be cast urethane, from your drawing, model, or the worn part in your hand.

  • Prototyping and low-volume runs

    First articles and short runs from a print or sample, often in days. The fastest way to find out if urethane works for your part.
