What they do
Spacers and leveling components change a vehicle’s ride height or restore it under load. A leveling puck sits above a strut or coil to lift the front of a truck. A coil spacer adds preload to a sagging spring. A spring seat spacer corrects stance after a load is added.
Why cast urethane
The obvious material for a spacer is metal, and in some places it still should be. But a urethane spacer is quieter, does not corrode, isolates vibration, and can be cast in one step with holes, keyways, and locating features already in place. At a hard durometer, cast urethane is dimensionally stable under sustained load and holds height for the life of the vehicle.
One of our best examples: a suspension spacer for the Ford Raptor that had been machined from aluminum. Cast in hard polyurethane, it was lighter, quieter, and cheaper at aftermarket volumes, and it stopped corroding to the mating parts.
